well, i for one think the combination is superb! If i even attempted this, i would have glare and blur everywhere. The textures and colors are so rich and complement the etched dragon, making him appear regal and immortalized, as if, like amber, he was actually captured whole in this bit of crystal. Very beautiful, congratulations. Thank you for your comments on my image, "Stepping Out". regards: kat-

well, i dont think you want to improve it. really. its perfect. the crystal looks like gold.
if you want to find out how to light shiny objects, and crome and other such things that are highly reflective give me an email. ill send you some files i have from school. there really helpful. and you sem to be the experimantal type, so i think you could use them to play around with and experiment. cheers

What a striking photograph!!! I love the composition, but I agree with Steve Chong. Try it again-just like this- but paying close attention to the highlights, we've lost a little bit of the details in the hot spots, but it's not by much. It just needs a little 'tweeking.' I think this image is worth taking that extra step because it is soooo beautiful and the writing looks like a 'dragon in an egg.' So if you're into myths and legends of heroes (like King Arthur) this image conjures that feeling in a modern way, while crossing over into a entirely different culture. It mixes the two subconsciously to my utter delight. I love it. Do it again!!!! :)

Salam Rawabi, the name of the Almighty, Wonderful. For the photo I wood agree also with a square , a second object on the left should not be allowed. The colours of light are beautiful . Ghoda hafez, Jan-(Ali-Reza)

I think it works well Rawabi, I would be tempted to see what it would look like with a smaller crop. I like the lighting, regards Roger

I like very much this idea...what can you do to improve this shot? I think that can be beautiful if you can 'put' some particular image (such as a city landscape) reflecting into the crystal object. In my opinion the crystal and his reflections is too near to the edges

It is fine, but slightly tight and the hot spots is a tad too hot.
