Excellent portrait, very good contrast and detail, 2100 looks like a nice camera. About C5050Z, I like it very much, I have been using it to do studio work with strobes, results are quite good, only bad thing is it takes a bit to focus in lowlight conditions. Here are the settings that I find most useful, sharpness -2, contrast -1, saturation +1, default setting has sharpness way too high, and it gives you grain. I really dont think that there is camera out there in this price range and what it has to offer, so dont give it up yet, just play with it, you will get the hang of it. Thanks for getting back to me about the my question, I will try the paint with light experiment. Regards, javed

Those shoulders look far too modern for the rest of the cut, very classical. Love the ring that ring and hand could be an entire sparkling subject on its own! Intriguing pose and the lighting is just impeccable but something a bit softer would only finish perfection.

Very good portrait, Peta. A minor suggestion, maybe her left cheek and right hand need a little bit more density. All the rest is great, I like tone gradations from pure black to pure white. Contrast is nice too. Good job.

Peta, she's beautiful, and this is a beautiful portrait. I like the background, how it goes from darker grey to lighter grey from right to left, the same way she's leaning. Actually, I think the off-centre pose is what I like almost the best here, it makes for a very interesting picture. It seems to me that the light coming from the right hand side might be just a bit too bright, must have been a sunny day.
Regards, Ursula

You have done a wonderful job with just the window light. It appears that it could be studio lighting. Nice pose, I like the slightly tilt of the body. Very nice. Don.

Peta, this pose is stunning. Very classy and professional!!!! I like the varying degree of color in the background alot too. The lighting is nice, but a bit hot on her hand and cheek. Otherwise a stunning portrait of a stunning girl.
You are moving on up. I can see how much you have grown with your photography since I first met you on PN. Keep up the great work. You will go far!!

A very interesting image Peta. The slightly off-balance pose, intense expression, and the stark but well-controlled light give this portrait a tension that is very effective.

Peta; this is classic and classy-- very "professional"-- nice work.
Would you please look at my recent ship picture? Last night night someone gave me "1" for lighting but left no comment-- and I think that is the best part of the photo. I'd just like to know what others, and especially my Friends, think about it. You can be honest too-- if it's bad please let me know. Thanks. Craig

Great symmetry between the dark-to-light of the figure, and the light-to-dark of the background. You do wonderful things with natural light......probably even more than God intended! Love it, Peta!!

The direct gaze, the eye contact lends substance to this portrait, which is very effective.
