Shot with a polarizer and a 2-stop ND grad, on tripod. Takakkaw falls is Canada's second higest waterfalls. I took a couple of mediocre shots of the falls itself and decided the river it drains into is much more interesting. I got low and close to the river to give a sense of water rushing towards the viewer. Location: Takakkaw Falls, Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada.
Hi Kenneth...you definitely captured the sense of the rush and flow of the water. I'm currently stuck on a (really bad) notebook LCD, so I can't really judge exposure/color/quality of light (QoL??) right now.
The fg is really nice, but overall I think the background doesn't quite complete the image for me. There's a partial disconnect between the falls in the background and the water in the foreground...that might be it but I'm not quite sure.
Hello again Ken. You fill the frame nicely as always. A nice variety of contrasts and colors in this scene. From blacks to white and much in between. I see a few others did not care for my opinion of your lake with logs shot. I guess that is why they make chocolate and vanilla. To me, it took away from the majestic scene just too much. Still, I do see the good eye that you have. Keep it up.
