I just read your Wal-Mart comment and I had to laugh. I just came to the conclusion today that my local grocery store does just as good of a job processing as the more expensive photography/specialty stores (I did a comparative study to make sure). Although I'm sure there's a Holy Grail of processing out there somewhere . . . .

Anyway, the photo! This is a wonderful abstract - one you can take a long time to peruse, finding more and more to look at (I personally like the X's and O's). The contrast is right on the mark. There's a bit of distraction in the bright spot in the lower right hand corner - it interrupts the flow a bit, but isn't too severe. Well spotted!

Thanks Mark. It's not just a good scan, either. The image quality is actually very good. It's just the cheap-o C41 process B&W you can get at any drug store. I've actually had better luck with that stuff than with T-Max. Then again, I don't do my own processing, so... I just used Wal-Mart's 1 hr processing for this roll :) The on-screen image looks almost identical to the 4x6 print (thanks to my film scanner) and I could probably blow this one up to 8x12 without much graininess. Thanks for the comments.

Another thing too, is how nice the image quality is from this film. Is it T400CN? I never got good image quality from this film until I started using it at 200, and even 150 ASA consistently in all my cameras.

Fantastic abstract, resembling maybe little solar systems (I've had too much coffee & not much sleep).
