About I had a dream the other night that Melanie wanted a large butterfly etched on her entire back as a tattoo. Here's my interpretation of that dream combined with inspiration from Joyce Tenneson.

This is a gorgeous and cool but intimate portrait. The fantasy aspect is well done and I think the two 'static charges' make for an interesting balance.

Dreamy, romantic and soft. Well done.
I?m only not sure if angels do wear ear rings or black tops... ;-))

Thanks to all for your great comments and suggestions! In fact, I'm going to try another version that combines all the suggestions -- will post it here when I'm through!! I love this kind of feedback! It only makes me better at seeing things outside of my own two eyeballs. In fact, I wish all of you could be sitting in my lap and providing these suggestions while I'm working through these images in PS! Would certainly save me some time! :-) Pure fun anyways! I love this place!!

Hello Carol:

With or without wings, this is a delicate and exquisite portrait -- superbly photographed and beautifully "elaborated," to borrow a phrase from Anna.

What's more, the wings work. Most don't. But these almost seem to belong here, especially because of the way the light areas visible in the pattern match the background tone so closely. The only thing about the entire image that strikes me as mildly off key are the sprightly little lighty bursts which don't seem to know whether they are supposed to be in front of the wings or behind them. My vote would be for no lighty things, but if they are part of the significance of the dream, I think they would be less distracting if positioned behind Melanie and her wings. A great piece of work. Gotta fly.. --Jim

Gorgeous portrait, composite and tones. The lights I'm not sure about, they seem to demand a little too much attention.

What a beautiful face.. the tones here are very nice too. The way u use the light are excellent. This is a stunning portrait, and i don't mind the cropping, the PS-work seems good too for this picture. Congrats.

Very cool. Nice work. Not sure if I completely agree with the dancing firelight coming over the shoulder, but it is a dream. :) Regards--Todd
