The vertical orientation would be good if the viewer could see the reason ? was it to include the boat wake at the bottom? The horizon is tilted which could make the image more dynamic, but one wonders if it was intentional or accidental, since the tilt is slight. The buildings are in shadow without detail, while the wake at the bottom has blown highlights, an indication of too great a tonal range. Maybe landscape format would have been better.
