Very nice work. I could tell right from the thumbnail. Nice lines & composition. There are some minor flaws (mainly removing the hair, dust etc. from the scan). But overall a nice scene captured that really captures a feeling.

Cheers,
Chris

Theres something about this, it may be the light. But I think its probably (as you say) the familiarity in the washing line. The three primary colors split by lines of white (well sun drenched white ;) )come together very well to separate each element and give it its own unique color.

Mundane subjects sometimes make great pictures; very interesting composition and tone combination. If only it had a little more DOF (for the grass in the foreground...)

I really love this shot. It's a wonderfully evocative image. However I do agree with a few other people here that perhaps a clean up in PS and maybe a sharpen would make it truely great.

Could benefit from some dust removal, but a fine image overall.

Kathleen,

Wonderful shot that does invoke emotion. I like the composition along with the colors. I must say I can't help feeling that the "other" image here is the shadow of the clothes on the wall. If this could be reshot I think that would make a good image. I also think this could be a bit sharper but thats juat a personal opinion.

Welcome to USEFILM and look forward to seeing more posts from you.

Kathleen, I also love the subject. It looks like many places here in Tennessee. There is something special about the more simple life style. Keep up the good work.... Regards, Teresa
