About To get that brushing effect I used an UV filter with a drop of oil smeared on it. I rubbed the oil gently in my required direction to get the flowing lines. Took it off- focussed and put it on again to shoot. I lost only one f-stop for it. Waiting for your comments.

Am I too late?
Great shot.Your experiment is 100% successfull.I liked it very much & noted your process.Just the white spots are bit disturbing.May be due to scanning.

Excellent effect here and so original. You have an interesting portfolio Bikramadittya. Thankyou for going back to my image a second time and taking the time to comment on the additional image. I too prefer the first one, that is why I chose to submit that one over the other. I took about 5 of that same image but with slightly different angles so I could have the option of choosing the better one later on the computer. What you wrote about the splitting of the image into two frames is spot on. I also agreed with the expansion of water due to the larger gap on the left. I actually looked at cropping it before I submitted it, but saw the negative effect it had, so regressed from doing so.

So thankyou so much.

Keep up the great work.

Judi

Extra points for no PS work - although I use it quite a lot, it's good to see people thinking of different solutions.

I like the effect it has an underwater fell to it... It's like statue from the lost city of Atlantis... Regards Ken

interesting techinique Roy; very creative use of domestic stuff; may be a minor number of that hair contaminating the oil you used (I suppose) should improve a lot; well seen
