i think digital is a little out of my price range right now. plus i just love the possibilities of film and different saturations. :)

John, this is a great shot. Love the light. I read you bio and here's a thought...you should try digital. It saves scads in film and dark room costs. It's also a great way to experiment and learn. You can take hundreds of shots and throw them all away if you don't like. I use a Canon D60. It's 6.3 mega pixels which means you get a very good image (at 300 dpi) to print out at roughly 8" x 6". Nikon make very good ones too. These 6.3-6.5 mega pixal cameras are around $1500 (less used) now.

Great photo. From dark (bottom-left) to light (upper-right), I think that is done well and obvious. There are no dull sections to this picture. Where is would just be blank sky there are plants (the tree on the right and the grass on the left). Crop is good, maybe a tad low (too much dark in the lower portion to be in ballence with the rest of the photo and to make just the corners the extremes. But generally a fantastic photo.
