Wow, really great. Love the intense colour and deep saturation. Beautiful lighting and excellently composed.

Betsey, yes I have read about the new Fuji cameras. They look nice and I think will give good results. I like the RAW feature in the 7000 which will put some nice hi-rez capabilities in a mid-range camera. Not a few of us are waiting for the S2's offspring. S3? We should be seeing something later this year.(?) I'd love to have this S2 as a "backup". ;-) Now wouldn't that be something?

Wonderful point of view and the shadow on the large leaf is a nice extra. The greens along the edges make a nice frame and the colors - from the black-blue of the water to the brown-green of the underwater moss to the lavendar and magenta of the blossom could not be better. Have you read about the new Fuji digitals coming out in October? I may have to have one.

Gorgeous on alot of levels. The first thing that struck me was the lighting. I love the shadow reflection also. The tones are crisp and rich. Not much room for improvement on this beauty.

Biliana, my lens was maxed out at this point and had I been any closer it would have been an underwater shot. ;-)

This photo is actually showing the habitat of the water lily which you don't often see. Most everyone else gets close-ups of the blossoms which are nice but everyone does that. While I do like close-ups I prefer environmental compositions to give more of a sense of being there for the viewer.

Thank you for the comments all.

Bob this is very nice. Great placement of the bloom in the black area and very nice crisp colors. Just a great picture. Don.

the crispness of this is great. I like the composition because the leaves are a nice frame. I also like how the flower really stands out. I alo like that you were able to get the underwater portion. It adds an interesting dimension. (It's so clear, wow) Great job!
