Hi Steve,
This is a picture well worthy of the Editors Choice accolade, technically well executed and full of mystery and foreboding, the peak looks to be a formidable climb for any mountaineer.
I'm a little bit baffled by the two conflicting copyright statements though (1996 in the title and 1997 on the picture)
A great shot, well done!

This is truly a "WOW" image. Fantastic place, beautifully captured. The black triangle at the lower left gives depth that makes the jagged peaks stand out even more.

All I can add is WOW! This is by far one of the most beautiful photos I've seen in a long time. I agree, it shows why it's such a thrill to reach the summit. I wish I could offer a suggestion to improve this photo, but I can't see how to improve it.
