Great capture, very fun!! The light is not the best, but in this kind of picture we have to be very fast and patient, and it's very dificult to get the perfect conditions and nice poses at the same time. Pet portraits are very dificult with one pet, I can't imagine with two!! But it's a very good picture!!
Great expressions! Spent some time breeding these guys.. so I know how hard it is to get them to pose! What a shame you had to use on-camera flash. You've gotten severe red-eye and unappealing shadows behind them. Override that flash, and get some indirect or side lighting of any kind (diffuse, preferably) and bribe those models into posing again!
