I'm going to agree with Don here, and say that if you had waited for sunset, you would just have wound up with 2 different but beautiful photos. I like this one a lot - the composition, the detail, and the glorious blue of the water. This might have benefited from an ND grad to save the clouds, but that's a very minor nitpick. Beautiful work!

I don't think that all good photographs are made either early or late in the day. Sometimes we just don't have the time to sit around and wait like the people that sell their images. This well done for the time that you were there. Nice colors and the little rock breaks up the water. Very good. Don.

Beautiful country out your way..Snow in July..too bad its backed up against the white clouds, I would have liked to seen the snow against the blue sky. oh, yes...the bird comming out of the hole in the palm tree image I posted..I just took that, I went back to the same tree that I captured him at a month ago...I guess I did not make that too clear in my comments...I felt I was lucky to catch him just popping out, before fly off. The Dimage 7 is slow to write to the card at 5.2 megpix so only got the one shot this month...But I will return!...Hope you had a great 4th...I had to work all weekend but the 4th. Bill

I notice that the places where we live look like themselves... ;-) Beautiful landscape, very neat and detailed, the colours are good, however I would like a darker sky, maybe I would have cropped the low part, where there is the bank of the lake, what do you think about? Bye Max

It seems that the reviewers so far are unanimous that this is one of the best images they have seen on Usefilm. I don't think it is a bad image, but I confess that I feel the ratings are inaccurate. This photo has the mid-afternoon blues. Most of the best landscape photographers put down their cameras and have a siesta at this time of day. A mark of 7/7 for originality is insulting to the Usefilm group. I gave up doing ratings long ago, and I wish those who are distorting the ratings would do the same. Please note that I direct my criticism at the reviewers and not the photographer.
