I have shot a lot of Gull pictures but I have never seen the head mounted 180 degrees out of phase like this one, I think you better have the water tested ! jimc

it is a funny shot...my guess is his head is turned, perhaps catching a bug in the air...not technically the best, but sometimes those are the ones that are the most interesting

Gregory, this is no trick..I didnt see that anything was strange until I viewed the photo. IMO, the bird has its head twisted 180 degrees, because, most Gulls in out area have lighter colors on the bottom of their wings.
