Wow yeah.....I like that. Great job specially for first attempt! Very good Srna. I don't think you can take a bad photograph!
Tell me, What lens did you use and focal length.
Id really love to get a 400mm or even 500mm one day but so costly!

Paule, I will use the tripod for images I have to, normally ... these days I m working on catching the moon without it .. I love making photos hand held and I have to be a bit more serious, sometimes, I knoooow ;)

silly.....Hey I don't use them as much as I guess
I should. Anyways there are time you have to and times you don't. Hell if your hands are steady to avoid shake then why bother. Ive not see to many blurred images in your profile so you have very steady hands my dear!
I thought I did pretty good with this one with using just one hand! lol

I have never used tripod ... am I crazy ? 
Structure visible inside the acorn is brilliantly seen so it is excellently displayed and executed against colorful bg ... quite lovely and very nice my friend, well done :)))
