Harlan,
They look like cigarette butts! And, no, I don?t smoke. I disagree with Richard ? I think it creates a psuedo-perspective to have the out-of-focus corner. Have you tried rotating this different ways to see how it would look?

composition: good sense of rithm. i'd prefer in this case a wider dof.
lighting: excellent colours, nice textures taht could be strenghtened by a different lighting (if available).
originality/emotional appeal: your approach to industrial object is absolutely original and personal.

A nice pattern shot. I would like a little more dof and definition toward the bottom. And maybe one slightly different object to satnd out from the rest.
