Well, John..I have not been to Vegas yet, but If I do, the desert with my camera is where I would be...this is an excellent shot! Great capture of the beauty and color. Your image has good depth, the clouds really jump off my screen!..To answer your comment on my "From the pier" (pelican shot).. it acutally the Atlantic Ocean with the shore at the right of the image..I was on the pier looking downward as he sat the the cement supports. Missed a Manatee comming to the surface as I took this shot...Regards, Bill

John,
Your right the casinos did their job on me. I stayed in the City. It was my first time there. When I come back I am going to make time to get out of the city and see the area around it. The irony, it rained while I was there.
Now to the photo.
The red on the hills set off the desert in the foreground and the mountains in the background, the sky is a brilliant blue.
Very good shot.
