Thank you for your comment! This help a new photographer like me a lot. I like your experiments, including this one. Will be waiting for more :) By the by, I knew you were a doc. And, by profession, I am a postdoc :) So, I too have an inclination towards experimentation :) Regards.

thanks so much arghya for your critic, that's what i expect in this forum for wise/clever people like you, a pity that honest and well argued critics are so rare :) let me argue that I tried a semi-abstract landscape; it's not randomly cropped but cropped with intention to create an absence of a real focal point other than the layers of different grades of grey from black to white. I've just crop a bit the sky and from both sides going for a 4/3 format; perhaps it's a bit unusual but I thought it could work but seems I was wrong anyway, I'm a man that love experimenting (actually I'm doctor) and a trial/error approach is very common in my photography (or perhaps arty-farty, who knows :) I really appreciate your comment and your kind words about the rest of my work thanks again and please stay in this forum, we all need people like you my best....txules

First I must admit this is a pretty unusual and interesting take on landscape! But, I think I'll share some thoughts. My first impression was that the photo was randomly cropped. The lower peak(s) is/are incomplete. I can not see the top of some upper peaks, which are otherwise quite prominent and sharp is focus. I was also confused what to see in the dark peaks at the middle of the photograph. Unlike many (if not all) of your photos, this one actually lacks the ability to direct one's mind. I am missing the "mood" in the "moody landscape". I am sorry if I was illogically critical. I am humble student of photography and I try to learn from your photos. Please correct me if I am wrong in any point.
