Yes the glass is all!! I have been fortunate to find some great quality lenses for my Cannon. Nikon has a larger portability through it's lenses. Cannon is limited to EF mount leaving some great FD glass on the shelves. I know that my 40D has been an excellent choice for a good solid all around image chaser!! Good luck!! be well, stan

thanks for the advice, Stan. Usually its best to invest in glassware and less money in the body bcse that changes every year. still i do consider a move to canon possible. we'll see

Since you already have Nikon lenses maybe one of the Pro Body like D2 or D3. I have been really happy with my Canon 40D and the 24-105 L with IS. 12 megapexal sensor is almost noise free at high iso. I found a 40D that was 3 mos old for around $600. My rebel is 8 mp and have sold quite a few prints and portraits with it. I just adjust in layers for my levels, sat, etc and get some really nice prints with 50-100 mb files created from the layers adjustments. It is all growing so fast. be well, stan
