About I know that look. I took this a few weeks back. MM and I went for a bike ride along the canal from LaSalle to Utica. When we rolled into Utica we aimed for Duffy's... the home of those glorious onion rings. As MM locked up the bikes I snapped this. Just a few seconds before I took the pic the door behind this young lady opened and the partially exposed fella said something I could not quite catch. She nodded, did this "Is this all my life has to offer" look and went inside. A half hour later she was handing us our food. Now listen to me carefully... I am not against or mocking or belittling the workers of the world. I am not!!! I just know this look... the angst of knowing we are better than our current lot in life yet having no hope of escaping it anytime soon.
