About	MM and I rented a car and drove more than 1,000 miles in 5 days. The Italian countryside was brilliant. We tried to locate the old family village of the Armellani's but even with a GPS guide and a current digital map of Italy... it was a useless search. The village does not appear to be where it is supposed to be. The ride did show us some marvelous places tucked in the hills, though.

Back home. Returned a week ago. The hills and quaint villages were wonderful. Rome and Venice over-rated...Pompei??????? Fantastic.
