Particular landscape.
The beautiful patterns of gentle slopes and hills surround a single tree. This landscape as perceived by the spectator will generate a sentiment of desertion. I would say that it is more natural if it has a low saturation like this one, but the effects of sharp patterns and contrasts ... and desperateness will increase with over-saturation. It is up to you what you prefer. Both versions would have their particular merits.
