Thank you Roger. The floodinfg Did not affect us as we are just on the Northumbrian/Cumbrian border and about 1.5 hours from the real trouble spots in the Lake district. Yes the reality is as bad as the TV pictures. A number of people will lose there homes and so far 3 main road bridges have gone.As people cannot pass from one side of the town to the other they are having to take a train up the county and back down the other side or drive for 2 hours.
