Hi, Ian, Thank you very much. I think I'm just use to shot at high-ISO (3.200 too) and my camera have right settings (and lens is just fantastic). Very important is also the "right" light to win vs. noise. I never use any Noise Reduction software (if I would do it I'd lose lots of details -see the face-). Here ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/fparisi/collections/72157619402662552/ ) you can see tons of photos, in B/W too. Regards

Great shot! But how did you manage to keep the "Noise" down at 1600? Or did you use Noise Reducing software, in post editing?
