what I dod is take 2-3 shots in quick succession all at once and usually the first is blurry and maybe the other two are good. the first one moves from the finger action and then the second one is more smooth....

yeah great work Tim... I remember being in the old fort at Rethmio in Crete and photographing a stack of cannonballs and thinking … jeez I’m good.. there was only lighting from a skylight about ten mtrs above the stack and I was shooting 1/6th sec at f3.5 (I just checked) and thinking I am good.. hand held.. steady as the rock of Gibraltar.. then I remembered image stabilising lens.. shattered
