City - Fredericton State - NEW BRUNSWICK Country - Canada
About
Okay here's an odd one. I took this last summer, in a darkened, empty old church in Fredericton, New Brunswick, with an old Samoca rangefinder camera that once belonged to my late father. I was hand-holding, and bracketed fairly widely trying to get the right mood. I just got the film developed. This is the middle negative of 7. It is the ONLY one with this filmy overlay. I'm sure that I didn't do anything strange (eg., moving the camera during a long exposure) and even if I did, I don't think the lines on the image would look so thoroughly "foreground". The marks are definitely part of the negative rather than being some bizarre scanner artifact. So what are they? I'm not seriously suggesting that I made some sort of spectral capture, but, well... it's a damned creepy image.
I have other shots of this same church in my portfolio, taken with my digital.
