Thanks Paul, these Jays are my mainstay for sanity during the winter. There is a flock of about 50 that stay here year round. They are noisy and move quickly around the yard from tree to tree. Always fun to watch, their color is iridescent in the bright sun. Missed my focus a little on this one but perfect practice makes perfect results eventually. Am looking forward to some warm days soon. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks Sinem, technically flawed but nice for the eye. The sun was lighting this bird nicely, to bad the photographer missed the focus on bird.. OOOOPs.

Well that was my chance for focus, no do overs Ania. I did do a good job on the branch, HEHEHE!! The color was worth it. Have a good one.

Beautiful colors The focus on branch is nice but what if the bird was more sharp than this branch? :)

Best wishes,
Ania

Thanks Neel, I agree with your humble opinion on the missed focus. I was switching between auto focus and manual when I tried to make this shot. I think I did a great job on the branch HEHE! The colors of the bird were so nice I posted it any way. I will master the focus on these with some more practice. The birds are soo asctive that it is hard to catch them before they are off again in another direction. Thanks for the honest comment.

Nice framing Stan. IMHO, the bird is bit in out of focus. Focus was on the branches. Exposure is perfect.

Take Care!

Thanks Aziz, I was a little off for capturing the focus I would have preferred, but those colors were so nice. I will continue to practice my bird captures as they show up this spring. Thanks for you honest comments and regards.

Thanks Dan, this Jay was jumping around branches so fast I was fortunate to capture him. I think that I just missed my spot of intended focus but thought the colors were still worth showing off. Thanks for the input and comment. These Jays are fun to watch moving from perch to perch.

Thanks Alicia, These Jays stay year round in my area. They are hard birds to get close too. Their blue colors are wonderful to my eye. Glad you liked as well!!

so very beautiful, .. Yes, not an easy job, but if the focus point was the eye of the bird, it would be more amazing.

Very nice shot Stan, I love the composition and colours. Not an easy shot to get for focus, your lens has got the branch perfect, lucky for the DOF. I love the look the bird is giving, to me it seems just happy to relax here for a while
