Yes I am lucky because we do not get freezing rain or black ice very often up here. We get a big ice storm every few springs or fall, but very rare. We usually get the nice dry snow and the cold. I like that much better.

Thank you, Stan. You win with the cold temperature. Our problem is not so much the snow, but the little bit of warming which then brings the ice and freezing rain, which is what is causing the damage. Over 35,000 people are without power in our town. Fortunately, we are not yet among them, but the forecast is not encouraging.

Nice shot, I like the shape of this tree and the snow really gives it an added dimension. We got more snow last night and it is 1 degree this AM.
