yeah entry to our town.. makes ya real proud.. its probly a bit late now (as I am adding this note about three or four days after the original upload) and all the technical types will have dismissed this photo, but it and any other uploads that were shot with the Hasselblad are all being shot on film which is well past its UBD, accordingly it has artefacts all over it. Now some of these are C/- of the lab I am using to process the film but the majority are resident in the film prior to processing.. just wanted to say...
yeah its all a bit sad and depressing isn't it this fence is one of those portable temporary fences that these days in Aust must be placed around a construction site.. This site was formerly occupied by a petrol garage (gas station) which was always a little bit peripheral.. certainly not mainstream. It had had a chequered career and finally burned down I dunno perhaps five years ago (a third such occurrence for the owner.. do I see a pattern emerging here? )since then the remaining structure has been demolished and the temporary fence has become an institution.. like folklore really isn’t it.. someone should write a book about this place like a cracked memory…
