Thanks Gary for the insightful comment and tip. I find that my images appear a 1/2 stop darker on this site then what they are on my computer which makes a big difference.

Part of the value of images like this is the historical content. Shacks and pickups tend to disappear, but the image of the what happened at this place might last much longer. I reckon subtle use of a colour filter might loft the image a little.
