Thanks Ania, glad you liked it. Was hiking Sunday and this tree really stood out to me. I shot from several angles but this was my favorite. Thanks for the encouragement. Nice to hang with a front page girl!!
Be well my friend, Stan

Thanks so much Mitra, glad you liked it. It was such an awesome tree.. It has fought the good fight to stay standing for quite a while. Have a good week my friend!!

Thanks Fabio, went with the basic black frame this time! This tree was outstanding from all angles.

Morning Shirley D., thanks for the comment. I was torn between the two but knew that my chance of an award is usually pretty slim anyway. This is a Limber Pine that has passed away several years ago and is being baked by the sun and abused by the wind. The tips of most of the branches were scattered about the base of it as they have broken off over time. We found some Garnets in the soil just above the tree on the hill it was standing on. Garnets are a semi precious stone common in Montana. We had a huge storm in July that caused much damage and erosion from the hail and rain that was with the storm. We were hiking and inspecting all of the low drainages for Garnets, arrowheads and interesting finds. Even found a Bison skull pinned against a tree along a spring creek bed.

Morning Dave, I am naming my CF cards so that I can easily fill this field and keep track of my cards. The only choice for digital in the name of film section is Lexar 1gb and I do not use Lexar. I have a weird sense of humor and obedience to anything required. I always fill out my shoooting info hoping if someone has some advice on me than can rip away with all the info in place. I encourage any serious criticism anytime. Thanks so much for your friendship and your honest comments.

Good natural abstract, Stan! BTW, what kind of film are you using again?
Dave.
