meant to say that this is a lonely part of the mountain.. this is above the Golf Course and Funnel Web runs the two most advanced runs at Thredbo.. no one goes here well a few advanced skiers as the runs soon turn very steep and narrow and are as mass of moguls and so far from the madding crowd one gets an appreciation of what it would be like to get stuck up there

hehe thanks Bill and so it is ... rendered for no one (song by Paul McCartney [silly bloody Paul] of the same name srings to mind) So thanks for your kind comments.. especially the skiing comments.. yeah skiing is a wonderful business but I wouldnt like to spend a night out there either alone or with someone.. or at leats not without a tent .. and having reached the ripe old age of 58 I think that for me and tents.. its over and so the hotel we generally stay at these days, is most welcome...

Roger, I was going through my favorites and found this with no comments. Hard to believe.
It has an almost mystical quality to it. Great design and pleasing gray scale.
Having been an avid skier, both in the US and Europe, this kind of reminds me of the beautiful late in the day light I experienced. But, one should exercize caution and get back to the base lodge.
I remember a warning at the top of Killington Mt. in Vermont. It said, "After dark these mountains will be just like they were 200 years ago - cold and lonely. Ski with a friend." My preference is a blonde one.
