Ciao.

Mi piace molto, sembra uno scatto d'altri tempi... sei per caso andato indietro nel tempo?!?

Cliv'es right, of course, in pointing out that this image is flat and lacking in contrast. But that's exactly why I like it. It looks like a print that's been lying unseen in an attic for the past 50 years. It looks like a piece of history you can hold in your hand (except maybe for the guy in the background with the long hair). He's also missing the point of shooting with a Holga in the first place. Come to think of it, maybe he's missing the point of photography altogether - as a personal art form rather than a competition to attain technical superiority. So bravo Giuliano, keep using that Holga and giving us photographs that look different!
Regards, Gary

Hello Clive,
thanks for your honest comment.
Frankly I still prefer my original image despite I've to tell that I'm watching it now on a different LCD screen and the effect is completely different from what i saw yesterday in term of contrast and dark shadows.
Anyway, i took it with a Holga that is a real toy camera, forget the quality, the contrasts, the focus... what you get is always a surprise :)
Furthermore it's a scan from the film. Let's see what happen in the next days when I'll go to print it in the dark room.

Thanks a lot again for your visit and suggestions.

Bye

GG

Well, I'm afraid the people that have marked this as "EXCELLENT" don't have a clue.

This is flat, lacking in contrast and needs some adjustment in an editor.
Here is a very quick adjusted copy.

Eccellente!
