Excellent macro, very good details on that kind that is...not so common I think, perhaps it's a young caterpillar, anyway don't know a lot of these little creatures but... surely a very nice shot.

Your comment is making my night...lolll Just got home from friends and having a bbq with the neighberhood tomorrow, lets see what happens, there is a lot of rain expected:))
I still have to learn a lot about macro my sweety, I know this one is colourful but its too much of everything..loll I know my limitations, I need to work with trypods to get it better, and maybe a master next to me:))

Fantastic capture from this caterpillar!!!!!!Great colors,AMAZING details.Your presentation is spot on!!What do you want to learn in macro because this one is PERFECT!!!!?? I like also to see the flowers at the background!By this weather perhaps you will see more!!

We gaan niet lullg doen hè? Mijne heeft een lekkere blauwe staart, de jouwe niet:)) Hij probeerde te ontkomen...zou'k ook doen trouwens, maar mijn vriendin was erop gebrand om em naar Staatsbosbeheer te brengen, ze is nog erger met dieren dan ik;)))

I do agree with you dear Bobot, the piece of earth made a better contrast, and yes it isnt looking nice like a perfect shot flower/caterpillar like it should be, I have those too but this one was my fav:))

incredible Jen and very good details on this macro shot... the brown thing that looks like dirt makes it interesting but not very photogenic in oppose to the colorful floral background.. well, that's what made it interesting...;)

I myself think there is a bit too much on this shot...lolll...makes it a bit crowded with flowers, earth and a huge caterpillar....so you made me happy with your kind comment sweety:)

Lolllolll...I was looking for a real cat at this shot, thought I had missed something:)))
I am not that fond of caterpillars myself, just like snales, weak isnt it?:)
But this one looked different with its blue tail...first thought it was the frontside...so you see I have been watching close:))

Ha Robin, ik wist zelf ook niet dat ze er waren, terwijl ik er jaren gewoond heb, wat leuk te weten dat je mijn foto's leuk vindt, doet me goed te horen:) Deze is van 2 weken geleden toen ik er was, de foto van de bloem van gister en de rozebottels zijn ook van daar, heb jij ook iets met Terschelling?

You must know anything about these differences...people mostly dont like caterpillars and love butterflies.... Mijn vriendin op Terschelling wist wat het voor vlinder het zou worden, ze bracht hem naar Staatsbosbeheer....iets met blauwpijstaart? blauwe pauwoog? Help, ik ben het kwijt, maar weet nog wel dat de rups mooier was dan de vlinder zou worden:) Trusten, jenxx

Great isnt it? You havent seen my snales yet..:)))
It was on Terschelling at my friends place and the funny thing was that she wanted to keep it in a jar and bring it to some butterfly specialists..this one was fond of 'fuchsia's'
Dont ever mention caterpillars and food again as we had some in our broccoli lately...you should have seen Chars face...and mine as well actually:))
