This is a yellow North American Forest {Box) Turtle. Housing was going up in his home so we found him, took some pictures and released him in a protected zone.
I do like turtles, but that one was a rescue. They tor down the woods for houses, me and ex found it, also found another one but it had been dead. He now lives in state own forest\swamp, where he is legally protected. Also that one is an endanger species.
