Hi Paolo and thank you so much for the time you invested on my image! It really shows the direction that I also would wish it to go to, though a bit too exaggerated for my taste.
The film I used here is quite a usual one, nothing special. Still I should correct exposure 1/2 step (guestimation) which would make the shadows of the trees a bit poorer in details but also the sky and the mountains at the depth much much stronger, as your work clearly shows. It wouldn't reach this degree of enhancement but it would be much better in this sense.
I am not the best friend of afterwards enhancements, for many reasons. One of them is that they don't really make such problems visible and thus subjects of discussion that *may* add some more knowledge in my mind. The other thing is that often they tend to turn the image to something much like "the world on steroids". They really look breathtaking but not that kind of "breathtaking" that a real view of some given place causes. But indeed they are extremely usufeul as backengineering hints for what should have been done, which then is also what must be done the next time we try.
So, thanks a lot for this hint and for your time!
Cheers!
Nick

Many thanks for the nice comment, Gustavo!
See? Same perspective as on "Striped facades along the road", but without the leading lines.
Cheers!

Yes I understand the problem about exposure Nick. I do not know the film you have used and I dont know how many stops it can bear in difference between highlights and low lights, but usually films can be correctly exposed even when there is a high range of high and low lights. If you dont trust your film, and you own a tripod you can still use a double exposure:-) two pictures, one exposed on the sky and one exposed on the trees and merge the two shots in PS Its very difficult to work on a small pic like this, but you can still work on the original and get some deeper blu in the sky. see the attachment:-) Thank you very much also for the splendid critique you have given to my trees photo.

Preciosa, aquí no hay mucho que señalar, técnicamente inobjetable.
Felicitaciones!

Thanks a lot Armen! Hopefully the image itself did good justice to the landscape that it depicts.

Thanks a bunch for the nice detailed comment, Paolo!
I didn't have any intention for some special "delicate" coloring here. The tones of the grass were rather dimmed at that time of the year. Not really green but with a big amount of yellow/brown too. I wished the sky to be more intense in its blue tones however. What I assume is that the nevessary balance of lights/shadows lead to a compromise such that we have details in the shadows and some less saturated colors of the sky - i.e. it might be that the sky got overexposed in order to get some details under the trees too.
I used a two spot metering here. One on the shadows, the other on the sky. So, I guess I should retry this with two spots on the sky and one on the shadows, for a shorter exposure time, which may avoid the washed out sky but still keep some detail on the shadows under the trees.
Thanks a lot again!

Well, it's only middle Europe, Chiara.
As about Frodo, I really tried to get a good shot of him. (Not with the camera, with the pistol!!) But I missed him unfortunately... Anyway, good thing is that he never returned and so I can have my peace without that hollywoodian stupidity up there.
Thanks a lot and cheers!

A beautiful and classic view of wonderful places. A very well balanced composition, with the right balance of sky, mountains, mist and vegetation and all the rules of the classical landscape photo respected with those trees in the foreground. The only thing i miss is some lack of brillancy in the colours, but if you had this kind of delicate tones in your mind, then its ok for me:-)
