I do agree ...regards marketing and all those none sense it's truly time drain personally I was curious about your management but if that works It’s great because you have done so many trips and Thought how in this world both can be worked.
Personally I'm very lucky in the last 15 months I shot with full frame and printing on Epson 3800 most of my works not even matted but never aloud to be posted on any site of the Internet that's what is great also make sense...now for fun I use 1/3 crop just for my self and also disciplined my way of what needs to be done and how:):)
Cheers,
Harry

Hi Harry,
At the moment I do not sell my images. Every time I think about doing it, I then remember all the work of trying to be seen and then marketing yourself with advertisement and then more promotion, as well as trying all the different methods that you need to do to try to make consistent $$$. It just doesn't make sense to me. In the end all you end up doing is the business stuff and a lot less shooting images that I like to shoot. It seems to me that the way a photographer actually makes good money is by giving seminars. Fortunately I make good money selling paintings and don't have to worry about selling photos. But at the same time they are both connected, as my photos will eventually turn into paintings, which sell for way more money then I would ever get for one image. Yes I have weird sleeping hours, but then I don't have a family to take care of anymore, they are all grown and out on their own....so I can do all the weird night time internet stuff I want and sleep in for the morning.

Hi Tim, I’m with you personally have been sleep deprive for at list 4 years that has effect my mental attitude in a way, but so far need to make some changes in regards UF activities at list need to cut off for a while to balance! Now you mast be a superman both jobs are hard to balance Paintings and Photography, trips, processing, and all you personal stuff This is overwhelmed… I hope you aware of sleep deprive. It’s a slow killer I don’t do any paintings and that leave me a great space for other stuff but still is taught to coordinate. My question... do you have success on selling photographs? Or vice verse? I’m interesting to hear your opinion, last 10 days ago I was taken some shots and a lady in Glencoe was curious of how they look long story short I send her 3 on e-mail and end up her husband to order 8 flower shots16X22 plus 5 for his company I was and still I’m surprise because never had pay any attention to walking people …of course I do sell to corporate but not in that fashion…also from my story you might get some ideas and encouragemts how sometimes those thinks can happen I guess if they notice you its more easy to say well and the rest is you know!
Tim, please reply in you convenient!!!
Cheers,
Harry

Hi Harry,
Yes I am painting everyday if possible. That is how I make my $$ so I have to keep at it.
I usually run all over the place taking photos during the day and paint at night, usually getting to bed around 2-3am....kind of crazy...every once in a while I collapse or the weather is just crappy and I just stay home to paint. I will sleep in the next life...lol...

I like the way their heads are stacked, and also the way the reddish cub's color is picked up in the environment. Beautiful capture...
