No, both relative exposures go up, Clay; she'll just have enough light on her then. Check your histogram to see she's under-exposed.

Thanks for the tip Paul. So by over exposing Janelle she would have been closer to the exposure of the background. Correct?

Unfortunately, the trees are perfectly exposed behind her. Janelle is under-exposed, and competing with the brighter background. I think if you had cranked your Exposure Value to over-expose by one full stop, she would have really popped.

You're welcome Wolf. A friend of mine, who I have known for many years, asked me to be the photographer for his daughters wedding. I took this model to the place where my friends daughter is going to be married to do some test shots. I am happy with the results, but am getting nervous as the wedding date gets closer.
