Torshy (also referred to as Mekhalil) is the arabic name of mixed pickles in Egypt.
In Egypt, as well as other Arab countries, pickles are served at almost every meal. They vary, but the most common are made from turnips, peppers, green olives, cucumber, beetroot, cabbage, and cauliflower.
Hi Khalid Excellent shot, 7/7 Interesting point for me is that TORSHI is a persian world! In my language (Persian, Farsi) TORSH means SOUR and TORSHI means PICKLE !( and sometimes means sourness). Cheers.
