Nice portrait, Dick. Clive has a good point about lightening the subject. It is a question of taste, I too like the darker tones, I think it makes it more realistic. Good shot.

Hello Dick, This is quite a nice portrait but, it is either under exposed or it has not had enough post processing.
IMHO the exposure needs adjusting and if you have photoshop CS2 an adjustment with the highlight and shadows will give you a better result.
Here is an adjusted copy which I hope you like.
