I thought I remembered this in a high-key version. You obviously have an emotional attachment to this image, and it is very interesting. However, you have so many more that are much better...masterpieces in my opinion. But that's just me.;):):)

Ok, I accept what you said about 'abouts' for this kind of pictures. but you have to agree with me that for some shots, a meaningful title (e.g. moody shots, some shots with a story) or an 'about' (e.g. shots of some event/culture) helps. For HCB, it was largely geometry, shadows and human figures. His shots, if you will, are not strictly photo-journalism or story-tellers. And you KNOW how big a fan of his I am.
Coming to this shot, I will not go into more debate, as I also respect the feeling that often we ourselves see something as very special, but others do not share the view - that doesn't take our liking away a bit - and there's simpky no scope for debate. Just as for me, that shot of the snowy day with the umbrella in the FG is. It's just a favourite ! and hey, no modesty is worth something if it's based on pretension ! :) :)
Cheers !

Dear Avi, I'm trully convince against "abouts", if you do not "feel" the picture it's a bad picture, that's all; do you know the abouts of many of the pictures by HCB?, for sure not but you know they are masterpieces; for me, this is one of my best, I see rhythm here, an excellent composition (probbaly by chance, forgive my lack of modesty :) an image that invite you think twice about the action, about the small kid on the bkg that turned his body towards me with curiosity and many questions more that are opened (how small kids enjoy in the third world with a simple hoop for example) but i do not wanna be pedant; in the end I'm the author so no neutral, but I appreciate your input :) take care.....doc

Now that I have read your comment, it is difficult to remain neutral :)
But I will try, since you put it on CC. I do not know the circumstances of this picture, maybe that would help a lot to begin with. So, an 'About' is my first suggestion.
Secondly, I am not sure if it's just a shot depicting action, or is there something more ? The fact that I am having to try hard and make a meaning out of it is what I don't like. And that is precisely the reason that I did not comment in the first place.
excuse my ignorance, cause I failed to catch your wavelength this time. :)
cheers, Avi
