I love the DOF here, Pascal -- just exactly right for me. At first I thought I'd crop tighter, bottom and right, but then I realized you'd lose the claws that way -- and I think they're important, too!

Yes Andrea, it's a digital color picture, I use Photoshop to transform in BW photo and I do adjustement in color balance to have warm grey (and yes! at the end my photo seems like a medium film format).

great subject. i don't understand where the focus is: it seems not to be on focus. i think that with a good focus on the face of the animal the dof you have is good. the greys are really nice: what did you use to have this kinf of effect? it looks coming from a film and not from a digital camera. let me know! :) ciao, andrea v.
