Thanks, Mark. This was done with the blossom still on the tree, a Japanese magnolia, with the blossom about 7 ft off the ground and pointing upward, as they all do. I had to stand on a movable picnic table and use the tilt-out viewing screen of my Fuji camera in order to compose. This is probably the best picture I have made in over 6 years of trying. Japanese magnolias have been a real challenge to photograph, Julie, because the blossoms open up so rapidly here in the warm climate and then the petals fall off. I was fortunate to catch this one on the day that it fully opened, one of the best ones over several years of trying. Thanks for adding it to your favorites. All my best to you. Anson
