About As we sailed past in the Polar Star ice breaker. This peak was sticking out of a massive glacier near the shore with the spin drift whirling around the massif beckoning my camera to to capture the moment.

I am also writing a blog on the trip for www.acdsee.com the photo software company if you are interested in checking it out. It is still in process I am adding more everyday.

and from Wikipedia

A special programme, Top Gear: Polar Special, was broadcast in the UK on July 25, 2007, and again on July 29. This episode involved a race to the Magnetic North Pole[13] from Resolute, Canada, with James May and Jeremy Clarkson travelling in a 'polar modified' Toyota Hilux, and Richard Hammond on a dog-drawn sled. All three presenters had experienced explorers with them, but Clarkson and May became the first people to reach the magnetic North Pole by car, using the vehicle's satellite navigation to pinpoint their co-ordinates with the known coordinates of the pole. It was the first episode of the programme to be shown in high-definition.

mate its a TV show.. dunno whether you get the BBc in america but try this for starters.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear this will get you on the way.. I just googled it and got something about the BBC in america.. funny as hell ..yeah they got a bit jammed in the pressure ridges but they won through.. and beat (well Jeremy Clarkson and James May) beat Richard Hammond who was racing them to the pole Hammond went by dog team and sled the other two in a cruiser the first car to drive to the north pole kekeke..

it must be hard to shoot these scenes...very little contrast to the scene and a job very well done.
