About Especially dedicated to the many too many "witches", "angels", "demons" and other alienated minds that seem to live in some kind of fantasy. Wake up, and see for the first time: It's a forest and that's miracle enough, if you would ever care read about thermodynamics and entropy! >:-D

I'd be glad for any comments.

Yep! As the time passes by, I come more and more to the conclusion that it is all about power and nothing else, Andre.

Hi Nick,
Good, responsible, leaders are few and far between. Unfortunately.

Hi Andre!

Later on, still in thoughts, and there are some few lines of old good Accept, which I think touch the subject so well. I just thought that your comment could be seconded by some really raw lyrics, of which I think that they say much the same like what you commented, but with a bit more anger ;-) Well, Udo Dirkschneider screams again:

*********************************
We swear it on the Bible,
or if wanted on the Koran.
It's always good for trouble
to have a holy ghost.

We have made the decision!
There is forgiveness, if you need.
But there is not in this world.
You have to wait and wait and wait...

You shouldn't kill your brother,
except if he doesn't know what's right!
If he can't love your heaven...
Ah, it's a mercy for him to die!

And that is so much better
than to live without redemption!
This is easy to do so.
And you can read how it works.

All you need - is the holy ghost
Oh, he will comfort you
No other way - no no

That's how they're cheating you
And make believe
what's good or bad

Heaven is there where heaven is
and hell is down on earth.
*********************************

Oh well, a somewhat more... drastic expression, but the content matches yours if we make the exception of screaming gutars and the like. ;-)

Just for the record,

Nick

So sad and s0 true, Andre, and this was what this small series was also about. Strange that we are always the protected ones that at the end have to pay the bill for those who protect us, save us, salvage us from that great fearful thing. History is unfortunately almost a catalog of such examples.

And then for example the politicians appear on TV, and wonder why the voters don't care even go voting anymore, you know. Perhaps those individuals holding the power should just shut up and leave us all in peace - and try to save themselves from themselves. ;-)

Cheers,

Nick

Hi Nick,
All through the centuries, whoever has the power always seems to want to control the masses through fear mongering. They just keep telling us there is some great fearful thing out there that only they can protect us from.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Andre! I also consider the trees in the foreground to contribute a lot to the image as they make distance feelable again.

As about witches living "even deeper" in the woods - you hit the nail on the head again! Of course this "living deeper in the woods" is always even even deeper, no matter how deep one goes into the woods. It seems to move away with each step you make! Which reminds me of the fact, that whenever something like witches, spirits, gods, and demons is proved to be nonexistend in some place, it is automatically moved further away by its believers. A very useful mechanism for all gurus, prophets and high priests, isn't it? ;-)

So, we thought that gods lived in the sky and demons lived under the earth, then science proved that there is no sky at all - only space, and that there is also no "under the earth" since it simply moves in empty space, and then all those products of "I *want* to believe" were simply moved in some "further" spheres that of course were even more far away than the boundaries of this solar system. OK, then we found out that even after the solar system no kind of such superstition proved to be there, and exactly then they moved even further to some "other universe". Unfortunately we also proved that there is simply no "other universe" too, and the Pope has extreme problems since then ;-)

It reminds me of the mechanism that the USA administration used when they propagated the existence of chemical weapons in Irak and used that as a reason for their invasion. They searched and found nothing - but ohooo! They simply "moved" those assumed things hidden even better somewhere else. The same was carried out each time the search didn't find anything. And when the whole land was searched, then they continued insisting that there are such weapons... behind the moon ;-) After some months the world forgot about those ghosts presented as a reson for invasion and the high priests in the white house still continue selling very well, much like the Pope. ;-)

Ideal stuff for satire - I should make a series about that! ;-)

Cheers to you and thanks a lot for initiating this thoughts in my mind!

Hi Nick,
Nice effect with the light sun shining through some mist in the trees. It seems to work well with the foreground trees being out of focus.

You can't see any witches in this one because everyone knows they live much deeper in the woods :)
