About I canna believe that she lived 22 years before she did this. I did it when I was 10. My wife, the lovely and tolerant MM, did this when she was 9... or 8... and it took Eli until 22 to partake.
You take a coin of the realm... a bit of money and such... and you set it on the rail of the locomotive tracks... and if you are lucky enough to recover them... they are smashed and smushed to no purpose... yet it is a grand time. 26 cents Yank smashed to no purpose... but fun in a strange way. Eli took a bit of ages to get the sensation... I do believe she is connected wiff me now... Just some crazy stuff for no reason.

As always... if I can stir up memories... then it was worth the while. Love it when you give back thoughts and dreams and memories from ages past. Who cares wht St. it was... the sentiment is the same... the excitement entwined.

I never thought of using tape...

clever boy.

yeah the recovery bit was always a challenge.. we used to put them on the tracks just near the railway bridge near... god what was the name of that st?? I canna remember down in Caringbah anyway.. where I grew up ..in Sydney.. a suburb.. and me n me brother Peter (the eldest who turned sixty on the 11th of Nov.. I sent him an sms to say Happy Birthday and he said thanks and that he was just off to the memorial service at the Menin Gate.. yeah he went to France and Egypt.. and didnt even tell us.. what a bum..) anyway me n Peter and Nich (short for Nicholls) the next door neighbour used to use tape to hold 'em down on the tracks... we often wondered about what the driver thought as he came along and saw all this tape stuck down on the tracks.. but anyway it generally held the buggers in position... nowadays of course the driver would stop the train and call the help center and they would have to come down and flag the area off then send in the special branch with their special tools and consult the transport authority and blah blah blah blah bloody blah and they would go on earnestly about public safety and blah blah blah ..nowadyas you grow old waiting for them all to bugger off.. and they would take your coins too and probly call the cops as it is a federal offence to muck with coinage of the realm here and blah blah bloody blah.. just some kids.. fascinated with the weight of a train playin with some dosh.. and you know.. I dont think I have any of 'em at all now.. I must head down to the railway in town eh??
