What a good presentation of the subject, here! It has such a stunning and efficient usage of just a few things, starting from the B&W palette, over simple layout, to the careful relationship between land, sea, and the two boys on the small boat. And the latter have such a great contrast to the water, that they look much darker than they actually are, enhancing thus the overall impression of silhouettes.
I find the relative weakening of the depth by absence of leading lines in this case very effective. It created something like a real scene with many elements of a shadow play. Only the sitting boy has perhaps a bit too "real" appearance here.
And I have to wonder if you overexposed this for getting this result.. Or how did you achieved it?
A very authentic one!
