About ... a London Porter in this glass... oh, excuse me "goblet." I don't know why these were on my shelf since 2001, but as I read the box I see they were a Burger King promotion. So, I have them, I set them... I photographed them. I do love the books. The movies started off grand... then slipped and slid just a wee bit.

The books are still better.

ahh yes indeed.. as a (big fat) paperback that I stole from an old schoolfriend Julie Ankers from her flat in Kings Cross in Sydney.. I took it with me and read it in Bega in 1970 and thus began a long tradition... I always knew the moviw would be crap.. I have only seen about half an hour of one which I watched while getting dressed in a motel room in Tamworth (which isnt one bit like middle earth whereas Bega has some spots I could swear) to go to my nephwes 21st birthday party in what was it 2005 or so.. anything but the original is always sullied... meat of the carcass and all that.. you know like that new Beatles album they put out last year.. nup gone leave it be
