The idea of any squirls eating makes me smile haha. I read some where that they only remember 30% of where they store there nuts...however, I'm thinking this one is ahead of the curve. Thanks for the laugh!

Nice shot Dave, I just got home from a park where there were hundreds of these little critteres. I think I got a few nice shots if you want to look for them over the next few days.
I see this guy is eating, so I guess you do what I do and bring plenty of nuts with you??

Of course it is all yours, Dave! With such an exact DoF you can claim it all!

That squirel ist simply captured in all its terrific looking details. Each and every hair of its fur is pefrectly in focus even on the region of its contours to the background, which was a hard combination, as I can imagine! The very similar shapes and patterns of the contour hairs and of the grass are extremely well separated, so that there is really no "fuzzy" appearance where the fur meets the grass.

I also find the gradually declining focus as we proceed to the depth amazing! There is just enough earth for the squrel to stand upon and the rest turns slowly to some less important background that allows the animal to be the dominating subject of the scene.

Very well done!

Nick
