Wonderfully expressiv lighting/toning, strong contours and contrasts, and again a great amount of tiny details in a quite unexpected way to depict that building. Instead of making the proportions/geometry absolutely clear, you present them in an exciting but somehow "undefined" way. One gets almost dizzy when looking at this, but in a very pleasant way and still knowing that it is a building. This is exactly getting the special out of the "normal", making it look as special as it deserves.
I tried to enhance that further through cropping off the parts at the left and the right that seemed to be invaders in the scene to me. But after cropping them off, I realized that in this case also that kind of "being pleasantly dizzy" would disappear. Hence a composition that consciously accepts some small imperfections for the sake of the overall athmosphere.
